Growing up in a small village in Lower Austria motion has been a vital part of my life since the days of my childhood. From skateboarding to climbing, mountain biking and snowboarding – from an early age it has been “creative” forms of sports in nature that have mesmerized me.

From then on, this passion for motion and its immanent creativity is not only the motivation to move myself but also for my pursuit with movement in various ways. It also led to my profession as a physiotherapist. And with this passion I want to move others too.

As a physiotherapist I deal with pain, restrictions of function and range of motion in people with orthopedic, traumatological or sports medical problems.

The bio-psycho-social model is central to my work which means that I try to look at the people I deal with in their entirety. I make use of the whole spectrum of the physiotherapeutic “toolbox”. In other words, tailored to the individual needs I use both methods of active medical training as well as passive manual techniques.

I have the ambition to stay as professionally qualified as possible. That is why I attend subject specific further education and congresses on a regular basis.

After finishing my bachelor’s degree program in physiotherapy, I worked at the AKH Wien in the fields of traumatology and orthopedics for 8 years. There I got to learn a lot in the wide range of these areas.  While my experience covers medical conditions of the whole body, I lay my personal focus more and more on the areas of the spine/trunk, shoulder and hip joints. Despite this focus I keep on looking at my patients and clients in their entirety because humans are complex systems after all.
